About Evolux TransportationWho We Are
EvoLux Transportation, LLC is an early-stage aviation technology company located in Florida Atlantic University's Research & Development Park in Boca Raton, Florida. Our mission is to make private air travel more affordable and accessible, as an alternative mode of transportation for the masses.
What We're DoingNow
EvoLux's first technology platform, Taxijet.com, is an online private aircraft charter marketplace that enables travelers to compare customized, competitive quotes from FAA safety-certified Part-135 aircraft operators and directly book the itinerary that best meets their needs. In the Near Future
Through our Industry/Academic Partnerships, we are leveraging expertise in aviation management, engineering, and computer science to develop our Next Generation Non-Interfering Vertiport Operating System (NG-NIVOS). NG-NIVOS is an intelligent software infrastructure that facilitates an environmentally conscious, economically feasible, sustainable, alternative system of travel to and from business, medical, leisure, and residential district demand centers in dispersed, densely populated, and geographically challenged metropolitan areas. This software platform will drive efficiencies throughout the existing US multi-modal transportation infrastructure by:
How We're Doing It
We are evolving a system that was developed during Operation Heli-STAR (Helicopter Short-Haul Transportation and Aviation Research conducted by the FAA's Vertical Flight Subcommittee) by converging advanced communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) sub-system components. This scalable system will seamlessly integrate with the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen), the digital revolution of the National Airspace System currently being deployed. NG-NIVOS will support new, profitable business models that will maximize utilization of aircraft and increase efficiencies, while reducing costs for low-altitude, high-volume, short distance non-scheduled helicopter operations.
Partners in this initiative include Florida Atlantic University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, Georgia Tech Research Institute’s Advanced Aero-Transportation Systems Design Lab, the Global Center for Preparedness and College of Aeronautics at Florida Institute of Technology, as well as the US Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO - NASA, DoT, FAA, DoD, etc.) in Washington, DC. EvoLux has attracted several industry and academic experts who are very excited about our vision and mission, have leveraged their experience and time to provide advice and guidance, and have agreed to join the EvoLux Board of Directors upon invitation. We have also identified some key aviation executives who will come on board once funding is secured. EvoLux's Corporate CultureEvoLux’s mission is to revolutionize civilian transportation as we know it by providing alternative travel solutions to densely populated metropolitan areas while simultaneously solving many pervasive economic issues. Our innovative products and services, will result in new, entrepreneurial industries and supply chains that leverage local resources.
